Vice President of Sales, J.W. Allen

As Vice President of Sales at J.W. Allen, Tim Furnary has spent more than a decade helping successful families navigate the complexities of personal insurance with confidence and clarity. Since joining the firm in 2016, Tim has become a trusted advisor to clients across the East Coast, known for his thoughtful guidance, deep industry expertise, and calm, white-glove service.

Tim brings over 20 years of experience specializing in private client insurance and holds the prestigious designation of Chartered Private Risk and Insurance Advisor (CPRIA). At J.W. Allen, he continues to advise a wide range of clients while also leading business development initiatives and cultivating third-party partnerships that expand the firm’s circle of risk management resources.

Tim’s approach is both personal and strategic. Whether advising on property coverage, liability protection, or complex risk profiles, he combines technical knowledge with a genuine understanding of his clients’ lifestyles and goals. His ability to leverage innovative technologies to improve risk mitigation and elevate the client experience reflects his forward-thinking mindset and commitment to excellence.

A graduate of St. Lawrence University with a BA in Sociology, Tim credits the school’s strong alumni network with helping him discover his passion for insurance. He remains active in alumni activities and is deeply involved in his local community in Rye, NY.

 

Outside of work, Tim enjoys boating, spending time in Vermont, and keeping up with the adventures of his wife, Lindsey, and their four young children.
